Our camps run rain or shine! However, we prioritize providing a safe experience for all campers and take necessary precautions based on weather conditions.
For Hot and Humid Days
On hot and humid days, we implement the following measures to ensure the safety and comfort of the children:
- Frequent Water Breaks: We take water breaks every 10-20 minutes to keep everyone hydrated.
- Shade Breaks: Regular breaks in shaded areas are scheduled, particularly for snack time and off-bike skill practice, such as safety training.
- Heat Advisory: In the event of a heat advisory, we will move activities indoors. Indoor activities may include bike safety training or group games that continue to enhance the children's biking safety knowledge and awareness.
For Rainy Days
If it looks like it is going to rain, please send your child with the following:
- Rain gear
- Gloves
- Boots
- Extra set of clothes: Please pack in a plastic bag
Note that there is no indoor riding space, so all children will be riding outside. In the event of a particularly severe storm, we may set up bike safety activities, practice off-bike skills, or other fun games undercover as a break from the weather.
